
The European Day of Languages 2014 taking place at the Hanoi Goethe Institute this Saturday (25/10) is seen as a good opportunity for locals to learn about cultural diversity and languages of Europe.
The European Day of Languages is organized annually by the European Union National Institutes of Culture (EUNIC). The participants of the fourth event in Vietnam this year are the embassies of France, Italy and Poland and the Aula Cervantes, the British Council and the Goethe Institute. The German Academic Exchange Service and the Gestión Educativa Consultore from Spain will also take part in the event.
Posters, books and brochures about Europe will be on display at the event for visitor to get better understanding of the linguistic and cultural diversity of the continent.
Last but not least, teachers of foreign languages will have a chance to discuss and exchange experience in the morning. The afternoon is for visitors to learn how to pronounce basic German, English, French, Spanish, Italian and Polish.
